Yenagoa—Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has today sworn in Caretaker Chairmen to head the eight Local Government Councils in the state.
Mangrovepen.ng gathered that this was after the administrators were screened by the Bayelsa State House of Assembly earlier at the House of Assembly Complex in Yenagoa.
The eight Caretaker Chairmen that were successfully screened include Chief Barr. Nemine Belemu for Ekeremor, Barr. Inemo Oruebimiekumo for Kolokuma/Opokuma, Samuel Kalango for Nembe and Hanson Alabo for Brass.
Others are Mr. Ibu Mizodome for Ogbia, Richman Ndakwe for Sagbama, Lucky Okodeh for Southern Ijaw and Andy Oby for Yenagoa.
The Caretaker Chairmen will preside over their respective councils pending when the state government will conduct the Bayelsa State Local Government elections.
Governor Diri also inaugurated thirty-two Chairpersons to oversee the affairs of the Rural Development Authorities (RDAs) in the state.
