Ten more students get N250,000 each in second batch of Bayelsa traditional ruler’s scholarship scheme

Port Harcourt—The second batch of the scholarship being awarded by HRH Ralph Samuel Sambo, Sambo X, Amadabo of Sambo Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom of Bayelsa State has been concluded on Thursday as promised.

The beneficiaries just like the first batch were given their cheques of N250,000 each in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The beneficiaries include Miss Loveth Ayebatari Weekse Sele, Madonna University; Ebinye George, Ignatius Ajuru University, Rivers State; Gift Sambo, University of Port Harcourt; Josie Nengimote Alabo Martins, Afe Babalola University; Inatimi Christian Abadi, Benson Idahosa University.

Others are Dokubo Nimibofa, Federal University Otueke; Percy Inielayefa Parker, University of Africa Toru Orua; Wilcox Emmanuel Bomafinitamunopiri, Rivers State University; Harold Jackson Inatimi, Federal University Owerri and Timipre Sambo, Niger Delta University.

Two beneficiaries taking turns to speak after being presented with their respective cheques expressed gratitude for the opportunity and appreciated the sponsor for his benevolence.

The coordinator of the programme, Mr. Temple Sambo Jnr, speaking to a Mangrovepen.ng reporter shortly after the presentation of the cheques advised the beneficiaries to use the money for the purpose it was given.

He disclosed that the third batch of scholarship will take place towards the end of April, with ten more students to benefit.
