First batch of scholarship beneficiaries by Bayelsa traditional ruler to get bank cheques on Tuesday

Brass—The first batch of the scholarship being awarded by HRH Ralph Samuel Sambo, Sambo X, Amadabo of Sambo Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom of Bayelsa State is set to receive their bank cheques on Tuesday, 22nd March 2022.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the cheques would be collected in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, at the headquarters of Irad Investment Company Limited, an oil servicing company owned by Highness Sambo that is facilitating the scholarship programme.

The ten beneficiaries include Nengimote Esther Obuala, River State University (MSc) Law; Minini Stephanie Omubo, Cyprus International University (MSc) Bioengineering; Pogo Barayekiri, Imo State University (BSc) Accountancy; Sonia Danekite Jas-Cameroun, Niger Delta University (BSc) Medicine & Surgery; Elizabeth Biodoumoye Sambo (Pharmacy).

Others are Ayebaifiemi Ben Obuala, Federal Polytechnic Ekowei (HND) Electrical/Electronics; Berenengia Jonathan Ayebaekimiebi, Federal Polytechnic Ekowei (HND) History Education; Amanda Okeoghene Ogwara, Niger Delta University (BSc Law; Inatimi Hephzibah Delight, Niger Delta University, (BSc) Agricultural Economics and Anita Sambo, Niger Delta University (BSc) Fine Art & Applied Science.

Meanwhile, the coordinator of the program, Mr. Temple Sambo Jnr, had told our reporter that the reason for the scholarship is to contribute to the educational development of Sambo-Ama in particular and Twon Brass Kingdom in general.

It was further gathered that whereas ten beneficiaries would be awarded now, the remaining ten would be awarded on or before the first week of April.
