Brass—The Amadabo of Sambo Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom of Bayelsa State, HRH Ralph Samuel Sambo, Sambo X has commended the Bayelsa State governor, Douye Diri for awarding the contract for the construction of the Nembe-Brass road.
Highness Sambo in a statement issued on Thursday which was made available to mangrovepen.ng hailed Diri for what he described as his pragmatic approach to governance.
He appreciated the Bayelsa state helmsman for making the Nembe-Brass road ‘a reality’, adding that the road project was more or less a forgotten dream before the advent of the current administration.
According to him, by ensuring the commencement of the construction of the Nembe-Brass road, Diri has shown a high level of altruistic leadership, something he said is uncommon in Bayelsa politics.
“I want to profoundly commend the Bayelsa State governor, Senator Douye Diri for awarding the contract for the construction of the Nembe-Brass road.
“Governor Douye Diri has done incredibly well in making sure this particular road project is gradually becoming a reality.
“The Nembe-Brass road is a landmark project and for us in Brass, the dream of having it constructed was almost a pipe dream until the Diri-led administration came on board.
“The fact that the construction of the road is now a reality is a testament to Diri’s pragmatic approach to governance and his altruistic leadership style which is uncommon in our politics.
“I wholeheartedly thank His Excellency for this historic project and urge him to continue to lead Bayelsa state to greater heights,” he stated.
The traditional ruler also congratulated the people of Brass on the road project, saying that the road upon completion would positively impact the lives of all residents given its economic and security importance.
