Bayelsa traditional ruler set to award scholarship to 20 eligible students

Brass—HRH Ralph Samuel Sambo, Sambo X, Amadabo of Sambo Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom of Bayelsa State, is set to award an educational scholarship to 20 beneficiaries.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the scholarship programme is said to be for both undergraduate and post-graduate students.

Coordinator of the programme, Mr. Temple Sambo Jnr, told our reporter that the reason for the scholarship is to contribute to the educational development of Sambo-Ama in particular and Twon Brass Kingdom in general.

He disclosed that the scholarship will be facilitated through Irad Investment Company Limited, an oil servicing company owned by Highness Sambo.

Sambo Jnr. noted that the traditional ruler has always been a big promoter of education, adding that “this is not the first time he is giving scholarship to eligible youths in the community.

“Highness Sambo has always believed education to be the bedrock of the development of any society, hence his efforts to see to the education of his people.”

However, whereas ten beneficiaries would be awarded in the meantime, the remaining 10 would be awarded much later.

“Only indigenes of Twon Brass can apply for the scholarship through the Iradgroup email address which has already been made available to interested applicants from the Kingdom.

“All application forms will be filled and sent back with proof that you are in school. For example, a letter of admission from the said institution,” Sambo Jnr. disclosed.
