Excitement as Sambo Foundation pays N250,000 each to 30 scholarship beneficiaries for 2024

The Sambo Foundation established by HRH Samuel Sambo, the traditional ruler of Sambo-Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom of Bayelsa State on Wednesday paid N250,000 each to 30 students as educational scholarships.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that 20 out of the 30 latest scholarship beneficiaries are university students while the rest 10 students were drawn from the National Teachers Institution.

One of the latest beneficiaries of the scholarship, Pogo Barayekiri who upon receipt of the scholarship money thanked the traditional ruler and the foundation for the gesture.

The elated beneficiary stated that, “I’ve just been credited. Much appreciation to the King and the foundation, continuous blessings till the end of time.”

Similarly, another beneficiary, Wilcox Emmanuel, expressed gratitude to the traditional ruler and prayed for God’s favour and blessings for HRH Sambo and his family.

“I just received my money. I am very grateful to you, Your Royal Highness Sambo, and the entire Sambo Foundation for your immense kindness.”

He continued, “May God’s favour and blessings never cease in your life and the lives of your families and well-wishers.”

The Sambo Foundation which was formally launched on the 17th of August 2023 has so far awarded scholarships to scores of students cutting across tertiary institutions in the Niger Delta.

The foundation during this period has also been paying N5,000 monthly stipends to beneficiaries.

Our reporter gathered that more students will receive payment in the weeks to come in line with the Foundation’s quest to support education in the oil-rich region.
