APC gets new helmsman, as Governors oust Buni

Abuja—Following the reported removal of Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State by the governors of All Progressives Congress (APC) who has been in charge of the caretaker committee of the party in the last two years, Governor Sani Bello of Niger State has taken over as the chairman of the party APC in the meantime.

It was gathered that while the party secretariat has been temporarily taken over by the police, Gov. Bello is currently presiding over a meeting of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and State chairmen of the party.

It is reported that the ousted Gov. Buni is currently out of the country.
