The Central Organizing Committee (COC) of the Governor Douye Diri Pre-season Football Tournament has expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the resounding success of the just concluded event.
The organizers particularly thanked Governor Douye Diri, his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and the Sports Development Commissioner, Dr. Daniel Igali, for their unwavering support and commitment to sports development in Bayelsa State.

The COC also extended its appreciation to Bayelsa United, the champions of the tournament, the participating teams, the fans, the referees and match officials, and all football stakeholders for their contributions to the success of the tournament.
“The Prosperity Cup and the Pre-season tournament have received widespread commendation from football stakeholders both within and outside the state,” he noted.
He added that the tournament has solidified Bayelsa’s reputation as a hub for sports development and talent discovery.
