A pressure group, Rescue Mission Youth Vanguard (RMYV), has commended President Bola Tinubu, minister of state for petroleum resources (oil), Dr. Heineken Lokpobiri, and other players in the petroleum ministry for attaining “the enviable feat of attracting the African Energy Bank to Nigeria.”
The commendation follows yesterday’s announcement by Lokpobiri on the successful bid by Nigeria to host the African Energy Bank in Abuja as its headquarters.
The group said the energy bank will transform Africa’s energy sector as resources will be domiciled in the bank for the use of Africans which will ensure the prosperity of the continent’s oil and gas sector.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary General of the organization, Apostle Ebilo Olomu on Friday.
Olomu, while lauding Lokpobiri, said the petroleum ministry is the most functional federal ministry under President Tinubu.
He said the commitment by Total Energy to reinvest in the country’s petroleum sector is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Lokpobiri who has been instrumental in scaling up crude oil production.
“We appreciate the oil minister for doing all the right things for a sustainable and increased oil production including recently engaging stakeholders and community leaders in delta state to seek their support for the Tinubu-led government,” he said.
Olomu further expressed confidence that “Nigeria will soon experience the days of oil boom as concerted efforts are being put in place.”
