The Amadabo of Sambo Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom, HRH Samuel Sambo, has on behalf of his family and subjects sent warm felicitations to Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State on his 65th birthday.
In a statement sent to journalists on Monday, the monarch described Diri as a peaceful, courageous, goal-driven and wise Ijaw icon.
The traditional ruler commended the Bayelsa helmsman for running an inclusive government, saying it has not only engendered significant harmony in the state but also given a sense of belonging to all Bayelsans.
Sambo who is the President of the Sambo Foundation—a nonprofit that has given scholarships to scores of indigent students across the Niger Delta—however urged Diri to stay focused on his journey of transforming the lives of Bayelsans.
“I want to use this medium to appreciate the Governor for carrying all Bayelsans along in the scheme of things.
“I urge him to remain committed to his resolve to rapidly transform our communities and prosper our people,” he stated.
The monarch prayed for Diri’s new age to come with greater wisdom that would enable him to do more for Bayelsans in the remaining years of his administration.
