Yenagoa—Governor Douye Diri yesterday, alongside other government functionaries attended the “TimayaDay” musical show hosted in Oxbow Lake, Yenagoa by the award-winning music star, Timaya to celebrate his 18 years in the music industry.
Diri, later posting on his official X handle, revealed that he attended the musical event to support the growth of the entertainment industry in the state.
“To support the growth of the entertainment industry in our dear State of Bayelsa, last night, I was live at the New Year show put together by our home-boy, awards-winning music star, Inetimi Alfred Odon, popularly called Timaya, at the Ox-Bow Lake Pavilion, Yenagoa,” the post partly read.
The governor further said his physical presence at the show is a demonstration of the commitment of his administration to the growth of the entertainment industry in the state
Famous artists like DBanj, Phyno, Tekno, Perruzi, and Portable as well as influential skit maker Sabinus were among the entertainers who performed on the night.
