Diri is known for making wise decisions, says Karika

…felicitates Ayawei, Akpe, others

The Chairman of Brass Local Government Area, Hon. Alabo Hanson Karika has poured encomiums on the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, for appointing competent persons into sensitive positions of his government.

He said the appointment of Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) is an apt decision and a good omen for the state, considering his knowledge and record of sterling public service.

He made this known via a press statement sent to newsmen on Tuesday.

Karika, in the statement, also lauded the appointment of Dr. Peter Akpe, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, and Mr. Daniel Alabrah as Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff Government House, and Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, respectively.

The council boss said given the impressive profile of the appointees, Diri has demonstrated foresight and ability to choose round pegs for round holes.

He noted that with the appointees’ wealth of experience in public service under the leadership of the governor, the second tenure of the prosperity administration will succeed exceptionally.

“This only demonstrates His Excellency’s ingenuity and ability to assemble the best hands to serve the people and therefore I am confident that just like in his first tenure our able Governor will do well in selecting a competent team for a great second term rule.

“Governor Diri has a record of making wise decisions, hence I am certain that subsequent appointments will also be in the interest of our state,” he stated.
