Brass—Chairman of Brass Local Government Area, Hon. Alabo Hanson Karika has reiterated that Governor Douye Diri is the best candidate to vote for in the November 11 gubernatorial election.
According to a statement by the Brass council’s chairman, Mr. Alfred Obuala, Karika, who has been undertaking a week-long door-to-door campaign in Twon Brass, told various eligible voters and groups that Diri means well for the people of the area.
He emphasized the peaceful nature of the Bayelsa helmsman and how he is committed to completing the Nembe-Brass road which he believes is the most crucial project to the people of the area.
He also recounted how the state government has executed many internal roads and other valuable projects across communities in the area as well as supporting the lawmakers to initiate far-reaching projects to benefit the people.
“Not only will the road get to Brass if the Governor wins, but our people will experience more dividends of democracy in the next four elections.
“November 11 is a day we will decide whether or not to support peace and progress.
“Governor Diri represents both peace and progress as well as light and it will be in our collective interest to give him another four years to continue his good works,” said the Brass chairman while campaigning to a group.
According to the statement, the people echoed their unwavering support for the Diri/Law candidacy, admitting that the self-styled prosperity administration prioritizes the development of the state, hence the need for continuity.
They promised to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also protect their votes in line with extant electoral guidelines and laws.
