Yenagoa—The Rescue Mission Local Government Coordinators have expressed appreciation to Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, for his outreach to the less privileged across the eight local council areas of Bayelsa state.
The group is a movement committed to addressing the needs of the less privileged at the community level.
This was contained in a statement signed by six out of the eight local government coordinators on Thursday including Hon. T. Debewari for Yenagoa, Hon. Sling Iyenimi for Southern Ijaw, Hon. T. West Dukumor for Ekeremor, Hon. Temple Sambo for Brass, Hon. A. Seimiegha for Kolokuma/Opokuma and Hon. O. Chicko for Ogbia LGA.
The group highlighted the significance of Senator Lokpobiri’s efforts in making a positive impact during the Yuletide season.
They added that the gesture by the minister is a good example of leadership that reflects compassion that transcends politics.

The coordinators emphasized that Senator Heineken Lokpobiri’s outreach, covering all eight local council areas of Bayelsa state, signifies a comprehensive and inclusive approach to community service.
According to them, the gesture aligns seamlessly with the Rescue Mission’s dedication to addressing the needs of the less privileged and fostering a sense of unity and care within the community.
They commended Lokpobiri for embodying the true spirit of Christmas through his selfless outreach.
They equally lauded the minister as well as President Tinubu for the timely and successful re-opening of the Port Harcourt refinery.
They noted that the “reopening of the refinery will sustain the petroleum industry and strengthen our local economies with significant contribution to the overall prosperity of our dear country.”
The group also commended HRM King Boloyi Sufadoh, the Embareba V, Pere of Kumbowei kingdom for his contributions and prays for God’s wisdom and strength as he rules the Kunbowei kingdom.
