Nigeria’s Oil Minister, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has announced that Mr. Ademola Adeyemi-Bero, has been confirmed as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Governor for Nigeria.
The minister in a statement on Tuesday also disclosed that Adeyemi-Bero has also been appointed the Chairman of the OPEC Board of Governors for 2025 following a resolution of the council of ministers Tuesday.
According to him, Adeyemi-Bero’s new role underscores Nigeria’s leadership in the global energy sector.
Lokpobiri lauded the outgoing OPEC Governor, Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, for his exemplary service, adding that his dedication has paved the way for continued success.
He further congratulated Adeyemi-Bero and all Nigerians for this remarkable achievement, stating that “Together, we’ll keep driving innovation and collaboration in the global oil and gas industry.”
