BREAKING: Bayelsa PDP stalwart, Elvis Donkemezuo resigns from party

Yenagoa—Ahead of the November 11 Bayelsa governorship election, a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Engr. Elvis Donkemezuo has resigned his membership of the party.

This was contained in a letter addressed to the PDP Ward 7 chairman in the local government which was made available to Mangrovepen.ng on Saturday.

According to him, lack of internal democracy, cohesion and impunity informed his decision which he believes is for the best.

He maintained that the decision was made after a “careful study of the antics of the party leaders” in his constituency.

Elvis who is a businessman and a renowned former Ijaw Youth Council leader stated that his political future lies somewhere else different from PDP.

When asked if he would be joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), Elvis said “I will soon declare my next line of action.”
