Ogbia—The Special Assistant to the Bayelsa State Governor on Public Affairs and Social Orientation, Barr. Alabh George Turnah (MON), yesterday conveyed an all-inclusive meeting of stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbia Ward 9 in Ogbia Local Government Area of the state.
Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the meeting which was hosted in Kolo II town was conveyed to ensure that the Ogbia ward 9 PDP is united going into the forthcoming general election this Saturday as well as the Bayelsa State governorship election on 11 November.
Speaking during the meeting, Turnah expressed appreciation to the ward stakeholders and party faithful for their commitment to the party, assuring them that all issues raised in the meeting will be “holistically addressed and everyone will be properly carried along.”
He charged the party faithful to be steadfast in their commitment to the party, adding that PDP is the only platform that has enabled the people of the ward to feel the impact of governance.
He concluded by appreciating Governor Douye Diri for his continuous support for the ward.
The high point of the meeting was the setting up of a committee to reconcile and reach out to aggrieved party members in the ward.
Turnah who is also the Legal Adviser to the PDP South South Zone also donated the sum of N500, 000.00 to support the reconciliation and the committee in its task.
Meanwhile, a vote of confidence was also passed on to Turnah’s leadership of the ward as stakeholders expressed hope that he will do more to advance the development of the ward and its people.
