2023: Bayelsa assembly aspirant, Chief Ophori promises all inclusive representation, economic emancipation

Sampou—A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Chief Readdy Donye Ophori has assured the people of Kolokuma/Opokuma constituency 1 in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state of an all inclusive representation.

He pledged to bring the dividends of democracy to the door step of all residents of the constituency irrespective of gender, creed or political leaning.

Chief Ophori who is a frontline aspirant for the Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency 1 seat in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly made this known in a chat with newsmen on Tuesday.

According to him, “the duty of a legislator is to make make life easier for his constituents by raising motions, sponsoring bills that are aimed at lifting them from obscurity.

“If voted for, I will focus on not just bring the dividends of democracy to the door steps of my people but I will also implement strategies to emancipation them economically.”

Chief Ophori, a businessman and the Chief Executive Officer of Redop Global Ventures stated that if voted, he will partner with the executive arm and its agencies to raise and support entrepreneurs in the constituency.

His words, “One of the solutions to the present economic quagmire we find ourselves is to support the growth of entrepreneurs and small scale businesses.

“As a businessman myself, I know what it means to run a business. I have experienced both the good side and bad side of it.

“I will make sure I partner with the executive arm of government and its agencies to help support the businesses of our people especially businesses run by women and youths because they are the most vulnerable in the society.”
