Brass—A former lawmaker in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly,
Chief Charles Emmanuel Eremain has hailed Governor Douye Diri for his show of commitment to commence the construction of the Nembe-Brass road.
He also commended the state assembly for approving the N30 billion loan request by the state governor to embark on the Nembe-Brass road project and other capital projects across the state.
In a statement made available to mangrovepen.ng on Thursday, Chief Eremain stated that Governor Diri has performed well, especially in the area of infrastructural development since assuming office.
He noted that the people of Brass are excited about the proposed commencement of the road and are happy with Diri for his efforts to see the project come to light.
Chief Eremain who was the first lawmaker to represent Brass Constituency I in the state assembly added that the Nembe-Brass people would be eternally grateful to the Governor if he delivers on his promise concerning the road.
He stressed that the construction of the Nembe-Brass road would see a great change of fortunes for the people, as it holds significant economic and security importance to the area.
While extolling Diri’s pragmatic approach to governance, the former lawmaker stressed that the Diri has been all-inclusive and bipartisan in power.
He prayed for Diri to succeed in his reign as Governor of Bayelsa state, acknowledging that if Diri fails, Bayelsa as a state would fail.
