Yenagoa—Former Governor of Bayelsa State and the incumbent lawmaker representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Chief Henry Seriake Dickson, has been described as a generational leader whose legacies would outlive him.
This was averred by the member representing Ogbia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Azibapu Fred Obua, via a goodwill message issued on behalf of his family and constituents to commemorate the 56th birthday of the ex-governor.
Obua who served as Commissioner for Special Projects during Dickson’s terms as governor described the celebrant as a “quintessential legal mind, pro-people legislator and generational leader whose inputs, footprints and legacies in our legal jurisprudence and body polity cannot be erased in the sands of time.”
The lawmaker saluted Dickson for the numerous infrastructural projects he has mounted as well as the developed human capacities both as Bayelsa governor and now senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Obua who is also the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, appreciated Dickson for the abiding support to the Senators Douye Diri and Lawrence Ewhrujakpo’s prosperity administration and other elected representatives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) like himself.
The lawmaker commended Dickson for being a loud voice of representation and reason in the Senate, equally appreciating him for being available to share perspectives and offer counsel at all material times.
While expressing gratitude to God for blessing Dickson with political sagacity, sound health, eventful and impactful living, Obua also wished the former governor and his family more years of prosperity and service to state and nation.
