Bayelsa rep member, Obua honoured by Ogbia youth body for effective representation

Ogbia—The member representing Ogbia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Azibapu Fred Obua, has been honoured with an award on effective representation and Legislative advocacy by the apex youth body in the area, Ogbia Brotherhood Youth Council (OBYC)

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the lawmaker was yesterday honoured at the youth body’s 4th Executive Council inauguration ceremony held at the Ogbia Brotherhood Hall in Ogbia Town, Bayelsa State.

Comr. Napuru Bassuo, immediate past president of the organization, who presented the award stated that the award is a recognition and appreciation of Obua’s effective and patriotic representation at the Green Chamber.

Bassuo also commended the lawmaker for initiating People-oriented bills and motions as well as regular distribution of empowerment materials to constituents.

While appreciating the award conferred on him, Obua called on youths of the constituency to be more united and patriotic and to always protect Ogbia Kingdom against external aggressors.

Represented by Hon. Richmond Okirinya, the lawmaker urged Ogbia youths to always engage in productive ventures, acquire skills, shun social vices and become vanguards of peace and development.

He charged the newly-inaugurated executives of the OBYC to see their positions as opportunities to serve while admonishing them to always work for the betterment of Ogbia Kingdom.

The federal lawmaker equally appreciated the youths for their immense support and abiding loyalty, assuring them that he will continue to initiate bills, present motions and carry out the distribution of entrepreneurship kits to constituents.

In his inaugural address, Comr. Johnny Jonathan, National President of the Ogbia Brotherhood Youth Council, constituted a strategic team, assuring that he will work with stakeholders to realize set objectives.

The newly-inaugurated executives of the Council include Comr. Johnny Jonathan, National President; Comr. Goodnews Nathaniel, Vice President; Comr. Desmond Robert,
National Secretary; Comr. Nelson Ademe, National Treasurer; Comr. Sarah Obolo, National Women Leader.

Others are Comr. Okala Igwe, Publicity Secretary; Comr. Akari Augustine, Assistant Secretary; Comr. Peter Aluko, Financial Secretary; Comr. Ofua Minera, Social Welfare Officer; Comr. Prince James, Provost; Comr. Green Godgift, National Auditor.

  1. Hon. Fred Azibapu Obua has totally changed the narrative of Ogbia Federal Constituency in the history of Ogbia. Hon. Obua is the Best House rep so far. I pray for God to give him more Grace and long life.
