Encomium as lawmaker dishes out cash, cars, motorbikes, sewing machines

…organizes free medical outreach to celebrate birthday

Nembe—The lawmaker representing Nembe Constituency II in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Edward Irigha-Brigidi, over the weekend gifted cars, motorbikes, sewing machines and cash gifts to his constituents in commemoration of his birthday.

Represented by his wife, Mrs. Doumiepre Irigha Brigidi, Chief Brigidi also gifted brand new vehicles to two of his aides, Mr. Patrick Indaikienyu and Mr. Inala Alafa.

The event which took place at the Yenagoa residence of the lawmaker was followed by a novelty football match between followers of the lawmaker residing in Yenagoa and Nembe.

The lawmaker also carried out medical outreach in partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) medical team in Opu-Nembe, where free medical tests were carried out and drugs distributed to constituents.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the lawmaker equally presented cash gifts to some deputy chiefs, patients at the hospital, nursing mothers as well as the aged in Opu-Nembe.

While thanking Chief Brigidi for his kind gesture, deputy Chief Degi and deputy Chief Etere, applauded him and prayed God to bless him with good health and more financial resources to do more. 

The lawmaker through the Opu-Nembe youth president, Engr. Ayerite Moses, also gifted motorbikes, sewing machines and cash to several youths and women in Opu-Nembe

In his remarks, Engr. Moses, while advising youths of Opu-Nembe to shun drugs and violent activities, also urged them to support the lawmaker.
