Lawmaker set to organize marathon race for constituents in August

Brass—The lawmaker representing Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, will on the 14th of August, 2021, organize a marathon race for constituents.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the programme is tagged the “Sunny-Goli Brass-Nembe Unity Marathon Race.”

In a statement signed by Mr. Noel Dimi Inafa, Chairman Publicity/Media Sub-committee, the marathon race is open to indigenes and non-indigenes residing in Nembe and Brass Local Government Areas.

According to Inafa, the winner of the male category of the competition will go home with a star prize of N500,000, while the second and third positions will be awarded N350,000 and N150,000 respectively.

The winner of the female category will be awarded a star prize of N300,000. The second and third place holders will go home with N200,000 and N100,000 respectively.

He noted that the fourth to tenth place holders will also go home with consolation prizes.

The statement also revealed the composition of a nineteen-man committee for the marathon.

The members include are Chief Feliks Sieri–Chairman–Brass; Chief Austine Aye Martins Gboro–Secretary–Nembe; Chief Teindinyo–Alternate Chairman 1–Nembe; Andrew Tonworio–Alternate Chairman–2– Brass and Alabo Hanson Member-Brass.

Chief Eminigi Member-Brass; Telimoye Agiri Member–Brass, Palimote Botugu Member–Nembe, Paingha MacDonald–Member-Nembe, John Okhai–Member–Brass, also made the list, amongst others.
