Bayelsa Education Boss Describes 20-Year-Old Chartered Accountant As A Record Breaker

YENAGOA—Hon. Gentle Emelah, Commissioner for Education, Bayelsa State, on Monday, received Miss Preye Ombu, one of the youngest chartered accountants in Nigeria at his office.

Miss Preye, a 300 level student of Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa state was accompanied by her parents, Mr & Mrs. Ombu on the visit.

The Sagbama born accountant visited the commissioner to appreciate him for his support, which enabled her to be inducted as a chartered accountant by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Father of the young inductee, Mr. Ebipadou Saware Ombu, in his remark, commended his daughter for her dedication despite the many challenges she faced academically.

Describing the young chartered accountant as a record-breaker, the commissioner charged Bayelsa youths to put the state in a positive light at the global stage.
