Encomiums As Governor Douye Diri Celebrates His 62nd Birthday Anniversary

Congratulatory messages have started trickling in as the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, celebrates his 62nd birthday anniversary.

The Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area, Hon. Ebinyu Turner, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akekere Jerry, congratulated Diri on the occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary.

He extolled the governor for uniting Bayelsans and working tirelessly to change the economic and infrastructural fortunes of the state.

“Your Excellency, less than two years in office, you have displayed a high sense of leadership, which has created a seed of unity among Bayelsans irrespective of party lines.

“We will continue to value your courage in the ongoing efforts to making sure that Bayelsa State becomes economically viable and continue to have global recognition in terms of Infrastructure, SME development, Agriculture, Education, Tourism and Security,” the statement reads in part.

Similarly, the Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Chief Nigeria Kia, has also congratulated the governor on his 62nd birthday anniversary.

In his congratulatory message, Chief Nigeria Kia described the governor as “a beacon of hope to Bayelsans with exceptional leadership credence.”

While thanking the governor for his visionary leadership, the Chairman also appreciated him for his developmental strides.

“Governor Diri was able to actualized the dream of getting operational license for the take off daytime flights of the state international airport from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and also concluded commercial flight deal with the Ibom Air.

The Southern Ijaw council boss particularly thanked the governor for “taken over the Yenagoa-Oporoma road – a project which he said is very key and strategic to the Southern Ijaw people due to its relevance and the purpose it will serve when completed.”

Mangrovepen.ng recalls that Senator Douye Diri, who hails from Sampou Community in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, was sworn in as governor on February 14, 2020, after the Supreme Court invalidated the result of the 2019 gubernatorial election.
