Gov. Diri’s wife, others appointed High Court judges by NJC

Abuja—The National Judicial Council (NJC) has recommended the appointment of the wife of the Bayelsa State Governor, Zuofa Ama Patience and three other legal practitioners as judicial officers in the state.

The NJC at its 96th Meeting of 14 and 15 December 2021 had recommended the appointment of 64 persons as judicial officers in Nigeria.

This was made known in a statement by the spokesperson of the council, Soji Oye.

The statement reads in part:

“The National Judicial Council, at its 96th Meeting of 14 and 15 December 2021 considered the list of candidates presented by its Interview Committee and at the end of deliberation, Council recommended the under-listed names of Sixty-four successful candidates to their various State Governors for appointment.

They are as follows:
