ASABA – The Special Assistant on Special Duties Media to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Ossai Ovie Success, has said one of the greatest challenges facing public office holders is excessive demands from people.
He disclosed this during an exclusive interview with Mangrovepen.ng.
According to him, “People tend to demand more from you when you are in a political position, sometimes without consideration.
“This inordinate begging is somewhat distracting and not healthy for a public official.”

However, the 29-years-old politician expressed that he is privileged to be a close aide to an achievement-driven governor like Okowa, saying he remains thankful to God and grateful to the governor for entrusting him with such an exalted position.
He added that, “The position is an opportunity to contribute to the development of Delta State and to help humanity as well.”
Ossai, who was appointed by Okowa as a political aide between 2015 and 2019 at the age of 23, is also a writer, news blogger and entrepreneur.
“Apart from being a politician,” says Ossai, “I am also an entrepreneur. I run a media company and I am also in the hospitality industry.”
On the recent agitations by leaders from various states and geopolitical zones calling for a restructured Nigeria, Ossai advised President Muhammadu Buhari to have a listening ear and find lasting solutions to the concerns raised.
“There may be more crises if the Presidency fails to listen to them irrespective of their agitations.
“This is not the time to blame anybody, but a time to reason together and be fair, just and equitable.
“The president should as a matter of urgency address the people, as it will calm the whole situation,” he noted.
