Go for social media monetization—IPF president, Ozobo, advises media practitioners


Comrade Ozobo Austin, President of the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF), has urged media practitioners from the Ijaw Nation to go for social media monetisation to increase their income.

Austin gave the admonition while delivering his welcome address at the just-concluded Ijaw Media Conference held at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

The popular media entrepreneur noted that social media has revolutionized the way people interact, share information, and consume content.

According to him, with billions of users worldwide, social media platforms have become an essential tool for businesses, content creators.

Ozobo therefore urged media enthusiasts to leverage the opportunity that social media offers to make huge financial gains to transform their lives.

In his words: “Social media has revolutionized the way we interact, share information, and consume content.

“With billions of users worldwide, social media platforms have become an essential tool for businesses, content creators, and individuals looking to monetize their online presence.

“Social media monetization refers to the process of earning money through social media platforms. This can be achieved through various platforms including, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram etc.

“We urge members of Ijaw Publishers’ Forum and other media personalities in the house to go for monetisation to increase their daily or monthly revenue or incomes.”

He further thanked sponsors and partners of the IPF for making the conference a reality.
