A group of International scouts have arrived Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital for the 6th Governor Douye Diri International Scouting Tournament.
The scouting event which is scheduled for 4th and 6th of December, 2024 will hold at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
The scouting exercise has consistently provided a platform for young Bayelsans to gain exposure to international clubs.
Some players from previous editions are already preparing to team up with top european clubsides in January, a testament to the tournament’s success, the organizer’s said in a statement.
This year’s edition will feature eight teams Including; Krosaders Feeders FC, Selina FC, Starlet Football Academy, PNA FC Koluama, Citi Boys FC, Bayelsa United Feeders, Kingdom Stars and the Prosperity Cup champions, FC Ogboinbiri FC
Some of the arrived international scouts include; Ibrahim Can, the Sporting Director of Adanyspor of Turkey; Fred French, Vice President FC Quomi of Malta; Naujot Simgh Brar, X-One agency of Norway and Turan Aykut, Adabademin FC of Turkey.
Others are Azodo Hilary Chuma, OTP Sporting Director Finland, Etemike Kelvin Oghale, Chief Scout OTP of Finland and CEO Tristone Sport Management and Nieketien Peter, ex-international, now a UEFA B coach and Sports consultant.
