An appeal to Gov. Diri to appoint qualified administrators from the Bayelsa state senior secondary school board as permanent secretaries

By Hon. Egbe Fiyesinkumo Gibson

No doubt the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye DIRI has done the needful in his recent appointment of distinguished and qualified persons as permanent secretaries into government ministries and parastratals in the state, which is a right step in the right direction.

The need to also look into the staff of the Bayelsa State post primary schools board to fetch seasoned and qualified administrators, who have the capacity or administrative experience due to their years of service as civil servants is also of paramount importance.

The Bayelsa state senior secondary schools board have Grade Level Sixteen (16) or Seventeen (17) civil servants that have been in active service and are proficient in the teaching field.

We have had occasions where previous administrations in the state, have appointed qualified members of staff who were teachers and principals as permanent secretaries example of such person’s are, Mr Egbe Gibson Ockia and Hon. Hitler Dickson and others.

It is on this note, Your Excellency Sir, I am writing to you to please kindly remember qualified members of staff of the Board in your subsequent appointments into the office of permanent Secretary and not just the mainstream.

Egbe writes from Yenagoa is a member of the Bayelsa State Post Primary Schools Board.
