The leadership of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) in Brass clan led by Comr. Sorboi Kenson Toinpre has presented a “Community Leadership Award” to HRH Samuel Sambo, the Amadabo of Sambo-Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom, Bayelsa State.
The award was in appreciation of the monarch’s kind gesture, particularly for sponsoring over 50 youths in an empowerment training.
Mangrovepen gathered that the youths conferred the award on the monarch during a visit to his office in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
Sorboi, speaking during the event, appreciated the revered ruler for his benevolence, adding that Sambo’s kind gesture, the youths will be empowered and taken off the streets.
Comr. Tari Agai, who was also in the entourage of the IYC chairman, appreciated Sambo for always making himself available whenever the need arises.
He also commended Sambo’s tireless efforts geared towards promoting the youths of his community and Niger Delta region at large, through educational and empowerment programmes.
He added that the traditional ruler over the years has distinguished himself amongst other leaders in the region.
He prayed for God’s grace and strength to do more and carry on his good works.
