Youths gift artwork to Ogbuku, speak on forthcoming free creative art training

A team of creatives led by Mr. Wilcox Raphael—the CEO of the World’s Ralph Arts Factory—has presented a fascinating work of art to the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.

The painting which was presented earlier this week was in commemoration of Ogbuku’s 49th birthday.

The management of the art factory told Mangrovepen.ng that its free intensive creative arts training and contest programme will be held in October 2024.

They therefore called for partnership and sponsorship from well-meaning individuals and organisations to make the 5th edition successful.

“Having successfully trained over 200 youths in art and craft skills over the last four years, we believe we can do better in achieving our goal of equipping youths with art and craft skills.

“For us, this is a recipe for per capita development. So we are pleading with well-meaning persons, private organisations as well as the government to support our efforts,” Wilcox said.

He added that empowering youths with creative skills is a sure way to ensure that they make better choices and channel their energy positively.
