The lawmaker representing Nembe Constituency III in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Chief (Dr) Douglas Sampson-Awudulu has lauded former petroleum minister, Chief Timipre Sylva, for facilitating the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture Bassambiri in Nembe Local Government Area of the state.
The lawmaker on behalf of his constituents expressed gratitude to the ex-minister for the establishment of the institution.
The commendation was contained in a goodwill message made available to Mangrovepen.ng on Monday.
Sampson-Awudulu who described the siting of the school in Bassambiri as a landmark achievement, said the feat is a testament to Sylva’s commitment to the development of the Nembe people.
In his words: “The establishment of this university is a significant milestone that will unlock the vast agricultural potential of the region, providing opportunities for youth empowerment, skill acquisition, and economic growth.
“Your vision and leadership have paved the way for a brighter future for generations to come.”
The legislator wished Sylva, who is also former Bayelsa State Governor, success and wisdom as he continues to serve the nation.
“May this achievement be a catalyst for more development and progress in the years to come. Congratulations once again, Your Excellency,” he stated.
