Vice Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Central Zone, Comrade Mac-Joel Kelvin has felicitated the Minister of State for Petroleum (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
He described Lokpobiri as a political officeholder who has proven himself to be a true representative of the Ijaw Nation and Bayelsa State.
In a statement on Sunday, the Vice Chairman stated that Lokpobiri’s remarkable public service to Bayelsa, Niger Delta and Nigeria speaks volumes.
His words, “As we celebrate a man of courage, we can not fail to note that Senator Lokpobiri has shown capacity with proven integrity in public service.
“His antecedents, as a one-time Minister of Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and now Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), have shown his desire to serve and deliver several investments of programmes to the Youths of Bayelsa and Nigerians.”
“Today, as Minister of State for Petroleum, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri is working the talks by partnering very well with other Nations and investors to deliver progressive programmes and make life better for Nigerians, especially in the oil sector.”
Kelvin who on behalf of youths in Bayelsa West Senatorial District and the Ijaw Nation lauded Lokpobiri for his “sterling performances in the public sector” also appreciated President Bola Tinubu for appointing him as Minister.
