Abuja—Barr Etifa Jonathan, the Coordinator of Bayelsa APC Integrity Group has congratulated his long-time friend, Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero on his victory in the just concluded bye-election for the Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency in Ondo state.
Yesterday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Ifeoluwa Ehindero—the candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC)—as the winner of the election.
The Federal Constituency became vacant in 2023 after the former legislator, Hon. Olubummi Tunji-Ojo resigned following his appointment as Minister of Interior by President Bola Tinubu.
In a congratulatory message issued in Abuja on Sunday, Jonathan said the election was the true reflection of the people’s mandate and a dream come true for Ehindero.
According to him, their dream of touching lives and contributing meaningfully to the unity, peace, and development of Nigeria is gradually becoming a reality with Ehindero’s election as a federal lawmaker.
He expressed the belief that his bosom friend would thrive in his newly elected position and be a good ambassador of Nigerian youths in the National Assembly.
The Bayelsa APC chieftain also expressed gratitude to Hon. Olubummi Tunji-Ojo the current minister of interior, who is Ehindero’s predecessor, for his ‘invaluable support’ for his friend.
He wished Ehindero well in his elected position and rallied the support of the people of Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency for his friend.
