DSP Alamieyeseigha Foundation launches free JAMB support scheme

Yenagoa—The DSP Alamieyeseigha Foundation has announced the commencement of the pilot edition of its free Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination support scheme.

The scheme, which is aimed at supporting talented students from low-income families in Bayelsa State, also seeks to bridge the gap between financial limitation and educational opportunities.

A statement by Seleake Alamieyeseigha, Executive Director of the foundation, stated that the scheme aims to enable deserving students to pursue their academic aspirations and unlock their potentials.

“This initiative will help enhance career goals by empowering students to pursue their educational aspirations and secure meaningful employment.

“The Free JAMB exercise will contribute to social equality by providing opportunities to deserving students, promoting diversity and inclusion, and fostering a positive impact in the state.

“A rigorous and transparent selection process will be implemented to identify deserving candidates. This may involve evaluating academic records, conducting interviews, and assessing financial needs,” the statement reads in part.

According to the statement, applicants must be less privileged and from low-income families.

While maintaining that a hundred students will partake in the exercise, they urged interested applicants to register via this link https://forms.office.com/r/FfuGbwrKQ7.

The statement fixed the application deadline for January 30th, 2024, while screening and shortlisting of candidates are slated for February 5th, 2024. Applicants were advised not to submit multiple applications.
