Brass—Hon. Daniel Charles, the lawmaker representing Brass Constituency I in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has felicitated his constituents; wishing them a fruitful and prosperous new year.
He said he is glad that they are alive to witness the year 2024 despite the challenges of the previous year.
The lawmaker who stated this in a goodwill message on New Year’s Eve assured his constituents of better representation in the state legislature.
He also promised to leverage his office as Chairman House Committee on Education in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly to pursue the educational advancement of constituents.
He however urged his constituents to be purposeful with their endeavours in the new year to be productive to make ends meet in 2024.
The lawmaker equally urged them to be law-abiding and live in peace for the collective good of all.
The message reads, “It is with gladness of heart, my dear beloved constituents, that I welcome you to the year 2024.
“God in his infinite mercy has deemed it fit to allow us to witness this year despite the challenges of the previous year
“My firm assurance, like every other year, is that I will be a better representative to you in the state legislature; one that will listen and do my best to meet your demands to the best of my ability.
“I will leverage my office as Chairman House Committee on Education in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly to pursue the educational advancement of all constituents, despite social, political, religious and any other differences.
“By the grace of God, more constituents shall get opportunities to attain tertiary education and vocational skills to contribute meaningfully to society.
“Despite the decision to prioritize education, we shall still facilitate the construction of roads and other capital projects.
“More so, we shall take the welfare of constituents seriously as we have done in the past.
“However, I implore you to be purposeful with your endeavours in order to be more productive to make ends meet in 2024.
“None of the good plans we have for you will come to fruition if there is no peace and oneness in our various communities.
“I, therefore, enjoin all constituents to remain law-abiding and live together as brothers and sisters for our collective good.
“I wish you a fruitful and prosperous new year.”
