Yenagoa—Ms. Seigha Akono, Chief Executive Officer of Stitches By Seigha, has assured participants of her upcoming intensive fashion course of learning new trends capable of advancing their careers as fashion designers.
The fashion designer who made this known in an interview with mangrovepen.ng in anticipation of her training program slated to begin by January 2024, revealed that 18 students have so far undergone training through her fashion brand.
While enjoining youths to take advantage of the training, she said that fashion designing as a profession is currently in high demand and has made many self-employed.
“Fashion design has therefore become very lucrative because society can’t do without it because it’s all about one’s physical appearance which has to do with dressing.
“I will equip participants with first-hand training and knowledge of fashion designing as well as boost their confidence.
“This would help them stand out amongst other fashion designers when they leave here to start their careers,” Seigha assured.
According to her, the training classes will be held three times a week, while plans are in top gear to include online classes.
She maintained that the beginners class which runs for 6 months attracts a fee of N80,000, while the intermediate class of 4 months and advanced class of 3 months will go for N45,000 and N50,000 respectively.
