Yenagoa—The foremost Ijaw National Congress (INC), Central Zone, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
This was contained in a statement signed by the group’s zonal chairman, Dr. Doodei Week; zonal publicity secretary, Hon. Barry Ikosomi; and zonal secretary, Dr. Ipeghan G. Igenewari on Friday.
The INC in the statement hailed the choice of Ogbuku, expressing confidence in his ability to transform the commission and the region for the better.
“Your Excellency sir, we can’t think of anyone better suited for this new appointment than Dr. Samuel Ogbuku at this time, given his array of positive exploits from the Ijaw struggle, an energetic youth, bold and with a heart of generosity.”
“Once again, thank you, Your Excellency, for your well-thought-out selection,” the statement further read.
Recall that the Nigerian Senate on Wednesday confirmed Tinubu’s nominees for appointment to the board and management of the NDDC.
It was gathered that they have been screened today.
