Yenagoa—The immediate past lawmaker representing Nembe Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo has said he has no intention of leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“Contrary to the malicious rumours sponsored and spread by naysayers, I don’t have any intention to leave PDP.
“My main focus now is on how to work tooth and nail for the victory of my principal and Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri,” Ololo said during a meeting with some ward leaders and supporters at his Yenagoa residence on Wednesday.
He charged his followers who also saw reasons with him to remain faithful to the PDP and effortlessly mobilize support for the Governor in the forthcoming election.
Ololo noted that his present setbacks must not affect the reelection of Governor Douye Diri whom he believes has done so much for Bayelsa State in general and the East Senatorial District in particular.
On the recent judgment delivered by the
Election Petition Tribunal, Ololo said his decision on whether or not to appeal the outcome is still under serious consultation and would be communicated in no distant time.
“Governor Douye Diri’s mandate is my mandate and there is no amount of provocation or intimidation that will make me shift ground.
“We don’t have any option than to remain in PDP and deliver. So let’s go and prepare for the election and make the Governor and our party proud,” Ololo concluded.
