Ex-councillor thanks Diri for appointment into advisory committee

Yenagoa—Hon. Edwin Ikiomoye Orlu, the immediate past councillor of Brass Ward 4 in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has expressed gratitude to Governor Douye Diri for appointing him as a member of the Advisory Committee on Community Development and Conflict Resolution in the state.

In a thank you message to the Governor on Wednesday, Edwin stated that he was honoured to have been given a “critical role” to play in the Diri-led Bayelsa State Government.

“I heartily appreciate the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri for appointing me as a Member of the Advisory Committee on Community Development and Conflict Resolution.

“Let me admit that I feel very honoured and glad to have been given a critical role to play in the Prosperity Government which has brought smiles to Bayelsans,” he said.

He promised to do his best in the role given to him and “to work with other stakeholders to ensure Diri’s second-term victory that will soon be a reality because he deserves to continue implementing his noble prosperity vision in the state.”

Edwin who was also the Chief Whip of the 6th Brass Legislative Assembly equally thanked the Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Esau Andrew for facilitating his appointment.

He further prayed for God to bless Hon. Esau and all political stakeholders of Brass Ward 4 (PDP) including Hon. Ebi Beredugo and Barr. Austin Adigio for their support.
