Just In: Ex-Bayelsa Chief Judge, Justice Kate Abiri is Dead

Yenagoa—Justice Kate Abiri, a former Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, is dead.

According to Daily Report Nigeria, the retired judge died in the early hours of Thursday, August 3.

A source who confirmed her death to our correspondent refused to give further details.

The source emphatically said ‘No’ when beckoned on to give details surrounding her death.

Abiri retired from her role as Chief Judge of Bayelsa State following her retirement on January 13, 2023.

She holds the record as the longest-serving Chief Judge in Bayelsa State, occupying the role from 2008 to 2023.

Abiri hails from Aleibiri in Ekeremor Local Government Area.
