Bayelsa monarch Sambo commiserates with Diri over father’s death

Brass—The Amadabo of Sambo Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom of Bayelsa State, HRH Samuel Sambo has commiserated with Governor Douye Diri and his family following the death of his father—Pa Abraham Michael Diri.

The patriarch of the Diri family in kolokuma Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State passed away on Sunday at the age of 88.

Sambo in a condolence message to Diri on Monday expressed sadness over Pa Diri’s demise, describing it as unfortunate.

He told the Diri’s family to take comfort in the fact that their patriarch led a good life, expressing belief that the late octoganarian is now in a better place.

In his words: “I write to condole with the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri over the unfortunate death of his father, Pa Abraham Michael Diri who passed on yesterday.

“As inevitable as death is, it remains a hurtful occurrence that we do not wish for ourselves and our loved ones, considering the attendant pain and sorrow it brings.

“The monarch further said, “My family and the entire people of Sambo Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom deeply commiserate with the governor and members of the Diri Family on the sad incident.

“May God give you all the fortitude to bear this great, irreparable loss.

“Taking into consideration the good life Pa Diri was said to have lived, I believe he is already lying peacefully in the Lord’s bosom. This belief should comfort the family in this period of grief.

“Farewell Pa Diri!”
