Birthday: Ebebi felicitates Sylva, says ex-minister will transform Bayelsa if elected

Yenagoa—Former Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Rt. Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi has felicitated the former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and the All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate of Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva, on the occasion of his 59th birthday anniversary.

This was contained in a statement he signed and made available to the press on Wednesday.

Ebebi stated that Sylva’s brave and visionary leadership style continues to inspire a new generation of leaders as well as renew hope in politics and good governance in Bayelsa State and beyond.

According to Ebebi, when Sylva served as Governor of Bayelsa State, he made remarkable marks on women empowerment, educational and health care systems, constructed internal roads, awarded students overseas scholarships, established Diete Koki Memorial Hospital, remodeled and equipped the five hundred bed Hospital in Yenagoa, amongst others.

Ebebi who further described the former minister as a unifying pillar and a good storyteller, expressed satisfaction with his “sterling leadership qualities” and character.

The Bayelsa politician believes that under Sylva’s leadership, the state will be on track to achieving socio-economic development which he said would bring lasting solutions to the challenges of flooding in the state as well as ensure human capital development and security.

The former deputy governor further prayed to God to grant Sylva the needed strength, God’s guidance, and favour to continue to serve Bayelsa State and humanity.
