Diri is one of the most student-friendly governors in Nigeria, says aide, Domkpee

Yenagoa—Mr. John Domkpee, the Special Assistant to Governor Douye Diri on New Media has said the Bayelsa state governor is one of the most student-friendly governors in Nigeria.

This, Domkpee said, is owing to the governor’s policies in the education sector through his reward for excellence, skills development and continuation of the student loan scheme.

The special assistant stated this while highlighting the gains of the recent Bayelsa State Student Summit which took place in Yenagoa, last Monday

He said by organizing the summit which aimed to equip Bayelsa students with entrepreneurial skills, Diri has boosted his performance on development but this time around, on the investment in the future leaders of the state.

Domkpee reiterated that the summit is proof that the self-styled Prosperity Administration led by Diri was not playing politics with the growth and capacity building of the state’s future leaders.

“Governor Douye Diri’s policies in the educational sector have endeared him as one the most student-friendly governors in the country.

“Beyond the student’s community, His Excellency has continued to match words with actions by encouraging small-scale entrepreneurs with the sum of N200,000 monthly each in the 105 wards across the state,” Domkpee emphasized.

The special assistant added that Diri has also improved the security network of the state which by extension guarantees a more safer environment for businesses to thrive, wondering why such an administration would not be voted back into office for a second term.

According to him, “Bayelsa youths should not be blinded by political differences but keep their minds open, seeing that our future is well secured with Governor Diri being at the helm of affairs.”

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the maiden summit which had students and their leaders across the board in attendance were taught the gains of entrepreneurship in line with the theme of the event Transcend: Upscaling Bayelsa State Students on Entrepreneurship & Self Development.
