Abuja—Nuhu Ribadu has formally taken over from Major Gen. Monguno (rtd) as the National Security Adviser on Monday, according to the Daily Post.
President Bola Tinubu had last week appointed Ribadu as the NSA. He was earlier appointed as the Special Adviser on Security to Tinubu before the current position.
Ribadu promised to live up to the expectations of Nigerians and thanked Tinubu for renewing the hope of a more secure nation.
Recall that Ribadu, a former police officer, was the pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, under former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
