PAP: Ndiomu calls for patience over delay in payment of monthly stipends

Abuja—The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty programme (PAP), Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu (rtd) has enjoined beneficiaries of the programme to be patient following the delay in the payment of their monthly stipends.

In a statement signed by Flight Lieutenant Terry Ekubgene Ajobena (rtd) on Thursday, Ndiomu revealed that since his appointment, he has made it a cardinal priority to ensure prompt payment of monthly stipends to all PAP stipends beneficiaries.

“As such, stipends have always been paid on or before the 26th of every month.

“However, due to current delay in receipt of the PAP’s monthly allocation for the month of May 2023, the office has been unable to meet this critical obligation as expected.

“I am therefore directed to appeal to all affected beneficiaries to remain patient while we await receipt of the anticipated funds,” the statement reads.

He added that the PAP regrets any delay and inconvenience it has caused and wishes to assure all beneficiaries of immediate payment once the funds are received.
