Yenagoa—Suspected hoodlums numbering six on Tuesday morning reportedly shot dead a teenager while robbing their home in Azikoro town in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
NaijaLiveTv reports, that the deceased, Miss Elo Lucky, 20, was said to be an applicant preparing to sit for the rescheduled Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.
It was gathered that the hoodlums who stormed the Health Centre area located at Azikoro town broke into their house after damaging the burglary proof, stole their phones, collected all the ATM cards and withdrew all their victims’ monies through the POS machines they came with.
A resident who craved anonymity stated that neighbours were unaware of the robbers’ attack not until the deceased was shot because their generator was running at the time.
It was also gathered that the robbers raided six other homes in the area unresisted and threatened to kill anyone who refuses to give their card pin for instant withdrawal through their POS.
The Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat has since confirmed the incident.
