Female aspirant congratulates, rallies support for Sylva

Yenagoa—A stalwart of the Bayelsa State All Progressives Congress (APC), Miss Ebibodei Sako has congratulated the former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva following his emergence as the party’s candidate in the November 11 Bayelsa gubernatorial election.

Sako in a felicitation message sent to Mangrovepen.ng on Monday said “Sylva is well equipped and experienced to bring developments and good governance to Bayelsa State.”

She described the former Bayelsa State governor as a trailblazer, a unifying pillar who she said: “if elected will once again perform well just as in his first stint as chief helmsman of the state.”

“Chief Timipre Sylva, whose determination, visionary leadership skills, and commitment made it possible for the establishment of Brass Petroleum Products Terminal, the passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill by the National Assembly, completion and commissioning of the 17-storey Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa, amongst others, is equipped and experienced to bring developments and good governance to Bayelsa State.

“Sylva will equally bring lasting solutions to the challenges of flooding in the state, improve human capital development, improve power and water supplies, effective educational systems, adequate health care, and access to housing if elected in the forthcoming election,” the message read in part.

Sako who is a former aspirant for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly for Ekeremor Constituency 1 under the APC further appealed to aggrieved aspirants of the party governorship ticket to collectively work with Sylva to ensure the victory of the APC in the November 11 governorship election.

She prayed to God to “grant the ex-minister the needed strength, favour, and wisdom to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Bayelsa State when elected.”
