Brass—The Amadabo of Sambo-Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom, Bayelsa State, HRH Samuel Sambo (Sambo X) has facilitated his subjects and Christians across the world in celebration of this year’s Easter.
He stated that Easter which commemorates the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ is ideally a season for sober reflection, mending of fences and amendment of ways, as well as the amplification of Christ’s divine virtues.
The traditional ruler who made this known in a statement on Sunday urged Christians to deeply consider the life they are leading and ensure it is in line with the doctrine of Christ, as they bask in the euphoria of the season.
“We must, also, like our beloved Saviour, love and show mercy to others, remain united and peaceful and be humble in all our dealings; living like the true Ambassadors for Christ that we are divinely called to be,” he said.
The revered monarch also commiserated with bereaved families of Thursday’s boat accident that occurred along the Okoroma waterways in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
According to him, “It is most unfortunate that the ugly incident has claimed the lives of many passengers and destroyed valuable goods as well, at a time we are preparing to celebrate Easter.”
While praying God to accept the souls of the departed ones, he also condoled the bereaved families and other affected persons.
